FlockLeader Defend is formulated to balance and support a bird’s immune system and wellbeing, made with:

  • USA-sourced black soldier fly larvae, which contain natural acids that help control bacteria and viruses
  • Vitamin C and niacin-rich split peas (niacin is an essential nutrient for ducks)
  • Immune-boosting parsley and oregano
  • Essential amino acids and minerals to support gut immune barrier function and limit damage from inflammation

I wish I could give it the full 5

I have to say the only reason I am not giving it a full 5 stars is because I don't have a control group who did not receive this product proving that it really boosted the immune system of our birds, but I do know that they held up to some very heavy stress with a lot of potential for health issues to attack and didn't blink an eye. Between that and the visible results I could see from using the other treats I have to believe this was a help. If the system would let me split stars, I would give it a 4.5 at least 4.75 if I could break it by quarters.

My Hens Love It!

I sprinkled Defend on my raised beds so the hens could till the garden before spring planting. Our birds usually get a little bored during the winter due to the lack of vegetation, so these treats give them something to look forward to each day. Now, when I shake the box, they come running! I love being able to give them an extra immunity boost and get a tilled garden in the process, too.

I've got a flock of chickens and one duck, and I feel good giving my birds Defend to help their immune systems because they intermingle with my horses and always try to forage in their manure. I'll be incorporating these functional poultry treats into our daily routine!
